On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a big action for farmers by giving the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. A huge amount of Rs 22,000 crore was sent to bank accounts of about 9.8 crore farmers all around India. This is part of what the government does to help farmers and make their lives better. The Prime Minister spoke at the event saying how much pride there is in "annadatas" (food providers) and showed commitment to improving their lives.
Along with this money transfer, Prime Minister Modi also opened some development projects in Bihar with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. These projects are meant for economic growth and improving infrastructure which should really help boost Bihar’s progress. Many Union ministers, Members of Parliament, state legislators and officials came together for this occasion making it special for both Bihar and India.
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme started back in December 2018 aims at giving direct financial aid to farmers from the central government. The latest payment highlights that efforts continue to ensure benefits reach those who need them most so families can be supported across India. With this money farmers can keep putting into their farming activities leading them towards more productivity and secure income.
Earlier on that day, Prime Minister Modi went on social media showing his respect for Indian farmers. In a post by MyGovIndia on X (formerly Twitter), he shared his pride in “annadatas” while emphasizing ongoing work toward bettering their situations. This message pointed out goals like boosting rural economies showing how these initiatives have real effects on people’s livelihoods.
